SCREEN TEST VETERINARY
ScreenVe Panleucopenia
Panleucopenia Rapid Test (Feci or Vomito)
Description
Lateral flow immunochromatograph test for qualitative detection of the Panleucopenia felina Virus (FPV Ag) from cat feces or vomiting.
The test is based on the direct method (or sandwich). While testing is carried out, the sample is applied in the cockpit (S) on the test box. FPV antigens, if present in the sample, react with anti-FPV antibodies coated with gold particles found in the reactive strip. The mixture then migrates upwards onto the chromatographic membrane for capillary action and reacts with anti-FPV antibodies in the membrane on the area of the test line.
If the sample contains the Panleucopenia felina Virus, a colored line appears in the test line area indicating a positive result.
If the sample does not contain FPV antigens, no colored line does not appear in the test line area indicating a negative result.
As a procedural control function, a colored line will always appear in the control line area, to indicate that the correct sample volume has been added and that the membrane has been eliminated.
Mode of use
Before testing, make sure that the cassette, sample, reagent and/or controls are at room temperature (15-30 °C).
Remove the test box from the aluminum box and use it as soon as possible. The best results will be obtained if the test is performed at least within an hour.
Collect the feces or vomiting of the cat with the swab from the cat's anus or on the ground. Insert the swab with the sample into the reagent test. Mix to make sure to extract a good quantity of sample.
Place the test on a clean and flat surface. With the dropper in vertical position, transfer 3 drops of sample extracted (about 120 mcL) into the well (S) present on the cassette, then start the timer.
Read the result 5 minutes. Do not interpret the results after 10 minutes.
Interpretation of results
POSITIVE: Two lines appear, the control line (C) and the test line (T). The result is to be interpreted positive regardless of the color intensity of the test line (T).
NEGATIVE: Only one line appears, the control line (C). The test line (T) does not appear.
NOT VALIDO: the control line (C) does not appear. Regardless of the appearance or not of the test line (T), the result is to be interpreted as invalid.
Warnings
Do not use it beyond the expiry date.
Handle all the samples as if they contain infectious agents. Observe the precautions established against microbiological risks during testing and follow standard procedures for correct disposal of samples.
Wear disposable gloves and eye protection when handling samples.
Humidity and ambient temperature can adversely affect the results.
Do not remove the test box from the package until the time of use.
Do not reuse the test.
Do not mix components of different batches and products.
Only for veterinary diagnostic in vitro.
All results should always be evaluated by the veterinarian taking into account the other clinical data available. To confirm the results, confirmation methods are recommended as a PCR test.
Conservation
Store in sealed packaging at room temperature or refrigerated (2-30 °C). Don't freeze.
The test is stable until the expiry date printed on the sealed envelope. The test box must remain in the sealed packaging until the time of use.
Validity of whole packaging: 24 months.
Format
The kit contains:
- 1 test;
- 1 dropper;
- 1 test tube containing extraction reagent;
- 1 buffer;
- leaflet.
