Indications
Mandibular advancement device for roncopathy therapy and somnofit night apnea is indicated in the following cases:
- Roncopathy.
- Moderate Apnea.
- Apnea in certain specific cases : travel, camping, boat, holidays (it is recommended to consult a doctor) ò Bruxismo, migraine due to mandibular tension.

Mode of use
Somnofit includes two pieces, lower and upper, with groove.
The user can easily take, one time, the prints of his teeth, dipping the individual bites into the water that will be heated, to soften the thermoforming material, to the temperature indicated on the floating thermometer attached.
The two bites are then connected by an elastic band that regulates the advancement of the jaw.
The user has a Somnofit perfectly customized and ready to use.
It will be enough to introduce in the mouth, all the nights, the Somnofit before bedtime.
During the first nights, the user must get used to bring the bites and therefore we recommend using the tape marked by +6.
This figure represents the in mm advance of the lower jaw in relation to the normal position taken without the Somnofit.
Depending on the different dental morphology, the real value of advancement may vary.
After a few nights of adaptation, adjust the appliance by following these simple tips:
- if the traction of the jaw is too strong and uncomfortable, use a lower value band (e.g. 4,5 instead of 6).
- If snoring does not decrease sufficiently, use a higher value band (e.g. 7,5 instead of 6).
In general, a 4.5 mm to 7.5 mm feed is sufficient.
In case of sleep apnea, verification of the effectiveness of mandibular advancement should be preferably evaluated along with a specialist doctor.

Description
Somnofit is based on the well-known antirussation medical solution known as mandibular advancement. It is also a useful alternative in the cases of apnea of slight entity, as it avoids the use, extremely challenging, of nasal ventilation through a continuous positive pressure device (CPAP). The principle on which Somnofit is based is to push forward a few millimeters the lower jaw, to promote air passage and unlock the back of the tongue. Numerous clinical studies show that mandibular orosis, such as Somnofit, is able to eliminate or significantly reduce roncopathy or night apnea.
The package is composed as follows:
-A bite above 2 hooks.
- A bite less than 4 hooks.
- A floating thermometer.
- A ventilated container.
- A bag containing elastic bands.
- Instructions for use.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in the following cases:
-Removable interior design,
-Partial dentary products with insufficient seal,
-From the mandibular articulation,
-Mobility and instability of teething, jaw or jaw with less than 10 teeth,
-Patient with under 18.

Possible side effects
Dental sensitivity when awakening after removal of Somnofit. The symptom disappears after tightening the jaws for 10-15 times.
Dolenzia in the front of the ear, variable in time: regularly bringing the device, the symptom normally attenuates within a few days (if this does not happen, choose a lighter elastic tape, for example 4,5 instead of 6 or consult a dentist doctor).
Hypersalivation that tends to be reduced after a few days of regular use, dry mouth, possible feeling of nausea observed very rarely (intended to disappear in a short time).
Change of the dental occlusion area (the relative position of the jaw and jaw with the closed mouth). If the jaw does not return to its original position after bringing the Device, it is recommended to cease its use.
In case of persistence of annoying side effects, remove the appliance and consult a dentist.

Maintenance, service life, warranty
In the morning, remove Somnofit brush it with toothpaste, rinse it and leave it all day in any warm water container where a half tablet of antibacterial tooth cleaner solution will be poured.
Before reapplying it in the mouth, remove the liquid and rinse with cold running water Regularly check the general state of the appliance.
Generally speaking, the useful life of the appliance is 8-15 months and depends on factors such as maintenance, night closure of the teeth (bruxism) and the degree of acidity in the mouth.
It is therefore not possible to guarantee it for a certain time.
It will be guaranteed exclusively in case of manufacturing defects.
In addition, results related to the reduction of roncopathy or apnea cannot be guaranteed, being dependent on the anatomy of the user.
Taxally replace the appliance in case of cracks, cracks or wear.
