Description
Disposable sterile self-lubricating bladder for intermittent catheterism.
The catheter already immersed in sterile physiological solution for the activation of the lubricating coating.
Ready to use, it is inserted in a graduated integral collection bag with capacity of 750 ml.
Use is indicated in cases of urinary retention. It is particularly suitable for emptying the bladder in patients who are not able to urinate spontaneously and need to empty the bladder, especially out of the house and/or in the wheelchair.
Especially suitable for people who lead an active life, who work or study.
The use of the catheter is simple and atraumatic, therefore also indicated for those who have a permanent need to resort to this type of aid.
Sterilized by irrigation with electronic beam.
It does not contain latex, PVC and phthalates.
The SpeediCath line of catheters is characterized by internallyte and beveled lubricated holes. This detail makes the catheter delicate on the urethral mucosa.
It is the only self-lubricating catheter to be already immersed in physiological solution.
This system is aimed at making catheter preparation faster and maintaining the same lubricated for a long time.
The compact and discreet packaging has an ergonomic shape easy to open. Simply unscrew the cap from the body, following the symbols printed on the package.
The package can be closed once the catheter is used and the bag is empty.
Once the catheter is removed, the lubricant liquid does not come out of the packaging, even if it is overturned. The connector is connected to the bag thanks to a valve that avoids any cracks of the sack, due to the weight of the urine.
The bag has a capacity of 750 ml. It is graduated and has an easy opening point to allow the emptying of urine.
Components
The catheter consists of PU Polyurethane.
The hydrophilic coating is in PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone) and urea.
The liquid in which the catheter is immersed is sterile physiological solution to 0.9%, with addition of PVP to 6%.
Warnings
Not indicated in those patients with a medical evaluation not suitable for treatment.
Disposable product: do not reuse.
It does not contain ecotoxic compounds, pertano does not need special disposal protocols. Do not disperse in the environment as it is not biodegradable.
Conservation
Store in a dry environment, at room temperature and shelter from direct sunlight. Exposure to extreme temperatures for a maximum of 24 hours does not cause damage to the catheter.
Validity of whole packaging: 24 months.
