SCREEN TEST VETERINARY
ScreenVet Coronavirus
Quick Test Coronavirus Cat (Feci)
Description
Side flow sandwich immunochromatograph test for qualitative detection of feline coronavirus (FCoV Ag) antigen.
It is based on the immunochromatic side flow sandwich test. When the sample is applied in the sample well on the cassette, the liquid flows laterally on the surface of the reactive strip.
If there is enough antigen of the feline coronavirus in the sample, a visible T line will appear. The C line should always appear after applying a sample, indicating a valid result. In this way, the cassette can accurately indicate the presence of the feline coronavirus antigen in the sample.
Mode of use
Let the test box, sample, swab and/or controls balance at room temperature (15-30 °C) before the test.
Remove the test box from the aluminum envelope and use it as soon as possible. The best results are obtained if the test is performed within an hour.
Collect the cat feces with the tampon. Insert the swab of the feces into the extraction test provided with the kit. Shake to ensure a sufficient sample extraction.
Place the test box on a clean, flat surface. Keep the dropper vertically and transfer 3 drops of sample extracted (about 120 mcL) into the test box's sample well (S), then start the timer.
Read the result 10 minutes. Do not interpret the results after 15 minutes.
Interpretation of results
POSITIVE: both the control line (C) and the test line (T). The result is to be considered positive regardless of the color intensity of the test line (T).
NEGATIVE: only the control line (C) is displayed.
NOT VALIDO: the control line does not appear (C). Regardless of whether the test line (T) is present or not, the result is to be considered invalid.
Warnings
Do not use after the expiry date.
Handle all the samples as if they contain infectious agents. Observe the precautions established against microbiological risks during testing and follow standard procedures for correct disposal of samples.
Wear disposable gloves and eye protection during the test.
Humidity and temperature can adversely affect results.
Do not remove the test box from its packaging until the time of use.
Do not reuse the test kit.
Do not mix components of different batches and different products.
The test is intended exclusively for veterinary in vitro diagnosis. All results must be considered together with other clinical information available from your veterinarian. For an accurate result, it is suggested to perform a PCR test for final determination.
Conservation
Store as packaged in the sealed envelope at room temperature or in the refrigerator (2-30 °C). Don't freeze.
The test is stable until the expiry date printed on the sealed envelope. The test box must remain in the sealed envelope until use.
Validity of whole packaging: 24 months.
Format
The kit contains:
- 1 test box;
- 1 dropper pipette;
- 1 buffer;
- 1 extraction solution;
- leaflet.
