Descrizione Clinica
XanterDE
Description
Damping sterile ophthalmic solution and lubricant.
XANTERDES is suitable for relieving discomfort and eye irritation due to environmental factors such as dust, heat, smoke, wind, air conditioning, allergens.
XANTERDES also contains a low concentration corticosteroid, the phosphate sodium desonide, which assists the action of the medical device against the mild irritative states of the eye surface.
XANTERDES performs a moistening and lubricating action for the surface of the eye thanks to the presence of a natural polymer, the xanthan gum.
XANTERDES, after the application in the joint bag, integrates to the tear by restoring the normal lubrication of the eye surface.
XANTERDES can also be used by contact lens holders, taking care to remove them before product administration and waiting for 10 minutes before re-enter them.
Mode of use
It is recommended to instill 1 drop of XANTERDES in the joint furnace three times a day, unless otherwise indicated by the doctor.
1. Before use make sure that the single-dose container is intact.
2. Put the monodose off the strip.
3. Open by turning the top without pulling.
4. Instill XANTERDES avoiding the end of the container to contact the eye or any other surface.
Components
Xanthan gum 0.2%, sodium phosphate desonide 0.025%, monobasic phosphate sodium monohydrate, disode phosphate dodecaidrate, citrate sodium, purified water.
Without preservatives.
Warnings
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Hypersensitivity to product components; eye and glaucoma hypertension, eye infections (such as Herpes Simplex infections, cornea virus, bacterial, viral or fungal conjunctivitis, tuberculosis and mycosis of the eye, purulent and herpetic blefaritis, orzaiol); presence of corneal injuries or abrasions; pathologies associated with corneal thinning.
The product contains corticosteroids at low concentrations and therefore should not be used chronically, unless otherwise indicated by the doctor. Very seldom have been reported cases of cornea calcification in association with the use of phosphates in some patients with significant damage of the horns. The use, especially if prolonged, of corticosteroids can determine an increase in intraocular pressure. It is therefore recommended to check intraocular pressure if you use corticosteroid for more than two weeks. Since corticosteroids also promote cataract onset, it is advisable not to use it for long periods of time.
In the very early childhood and in pregnancy the product should be administered in cases of actual need and however under the control of the doctor.
Occasionally it can manifest eyeburn after instillation.
Do not touch the end of the open container and do not put it in direct contact with the eye. Use the product immediately after opening. Any residue should not be reused because XANTERDES does not contain preservatives and the remaining product may contaminate.
Do not use XANTERDES after expiry date. Do not disperse the product in the environment after use. The administration of XANTERDES to children or persons with limited skill must be carried out by a responsible adult.
For topical eye use.
Conservation
After opening each aluminum envelope, the remaining monodose containers must be kept inside the bag itself to protect the product from light. After opening the envelope, monodose containers must be used within 28 days. Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
Format
20 bottles of 0.3 ml.
