Description
Single-piece collection device.
The bottom of the bag is open to allow emptying.
The bag adheres to the skin by means of an adhesive barrier to total protection in Stomahesive Technology.
The bag is equipped with filter and is mainly suitable for ileostomized patients who want a safe and easy to apply, remove and empty. Moreover, the exclusive InvisiClose locking system, free of rigid clamps, allows to maximize comfort, hygiene and ease of use.
On the outside side the Esteem+ open bottom device, has an inspectable window.
Stomahesive technology that makes up the adhesive barrier ensures maximum protection of the skin in the peristomal area. This barrier is self-supporting and does not need further support and is designed to ensure maximum seal even if exposed to water. Moreover, considering the need for frequent replacement of the bag, it is particularly delicate to remove.
The flexibility of the barrier allows perfect adaptation to the abdominal profile.
The water-repellent and soft coating tarpaulin ensures comfort and discretion and allows the breathability of the skin.
The filter allows an effective and lasting deodoration of gases. A special bubble allows the total occlusion useful for example during the bath or shower.
The InvisiClose locking system, being made of completely waterproof and washable material, allows to empty the device easily and completely hygienic every time the need arises. A slight pressure of the ends of the white fins on the bottom of the bag allows easy emptying of the bag that can, at will, be folded in the appropriate Lock-it pocket.
It doesn't contain latex.
Technical information:
The Stomahesive* skin barrier is covered on the adhesive surface by a transparent silicone protective paper, easily detectable and removable thanks to a blue coloured tab. In the cut-out version the protective paper has a cut-out guide in the oval and circular 20-70 mm to facilitate the preparation of the device.
The bag is equipped with an active carbon filter that allows the outflow and deodoration of intestinal gas. The presence of an internal protective film and the position of the filter, centered and above the bag prevents any contact with the effluents. The bag has a symmetrical shape and is covered with a soft TNT teline welded on the margins. The coating is present on both sides of the matt sack, which presents, on the outside side, an inspectable window: in this way the patient can constantly monitor the contents of the bag.
The size of the bag with the extended bottom are: 28,2 cm long and 15,2 cm wide, instead with the folded bottom 19,5 cm long and 15,2 cm wide.
The exclusive InvisiClose locking system consists of:
- semi-rigid staggered fins in washable plastic material (7.1 cm width);
- washable plastic velcro closure system;
- Lock-it pocket inside which fold the bottom.
*Total cutaneous barrier of a thickness of 1 mm, consisting of hydrocolloid substances, inerts and not irritating: gelatin, pectin, carbossimetilcellulose sodium, polyisobusene.
