SCREEN CHECK TEST
Pulse oxymeter
Description
CE 0482 medical diagnostic device.
It measures the saturation of oxygen in the blood and the pulses of the human body by finger. It does not invasively detect the actual content of oxyemoglobin (HbO2) in arterial blood. It can also be used for pre or post sports activity measurements (never during).
Carefully read warnings and instructions for use.
It can be used in a wide range of fields: family, hospital, anesthesiology operating rooms, paediatric departments and intensive care, oxygen bar, social-sanitary care institutes and sports medicine. Also available in Pharmacy.
Technical specifications
Dimensions: 62.0 mm (width) x 37.0 mm (depth) x 32.0 mm (height).
Weight: 42.5 g (including the height of the two AAA dry batteries).
Maximum wavelength spectre of light emitted by the probe: red light 660 nm ± 3; infrared light 905 nm ± 5.
Maximum optical output power of the probe: 1.2 mW for infrared light (905 nm).
Bluetooth module: 4.0 (single mode).
Normal operating conditions:
Precautions
- Don't try to fix the Oxymeter unless you're professional engineers. Only professionals with a maintenance qualification can perform internal maintenance as required.
- periodically change the contact position between the Oxymeter probe and the measuring finger for longer duration. Adjust the position of the probe before a measurement of the duration of two hours and control the integrity of the skin, the condition of the blood circulation of the finger and the position of the finger.
- This product is not suitable for infant analysis.
- Request medical care over time if the measured value goes beyond the normal range if you are sure that the tool has not undergone malfunctions.
- Do not expose your eyes directly to the Oxymeter components that emit light, as it may cause eye damage.
- For details about clinical limitations and contraindications, please consult the relevant medical literature carefully.
The following factors may cause disturbances or affect the accuracy of the exam:
- this product is used in an environment that includes high frequency devices, such as high frequency electric knives and TC devices;
- the Oxymeter probe is placed on the same part of the body or arto of the arterial duct bracelet for blood pressure or intravenous injection;
- the user suffers from hypotension, severe vascular atrophy, severe anemia or low oxygenation;
- the user is under cardiac arrest or in shock;
- a finger with nail polish or fake nails can cause wrong readings of oxygen saturation.
Mode of use
After attacking the power of the finger pulse oximeter:
- fully insert a finger into the rubber cavity of the oxymeter;
- hold the part of the nail up and close the clip;
- press the oxymeter start button and do not move your finger during measurement;
- when detections stabilize, read measured values of oxygen saturation and screen pulses.
Warnings
Do not use the Oxymeter in the presence of gas, anesthetics or other flammable substances.
Do not try to charge a common battery, as it could cause losses, fire or explosion. Drop the exhausted batteries according to the environmental protection provisions.
Do not use the Oxymeter in RMI or TC environment.
Do not activate the Oxymeter when wet due to leakage or steam condensation. Avoid moving the Oxymeter from an excessively cold environment to a humid one with high temperatures.
Conservation
Incarnate products should be kept in well ventilated rooms without corrosive gases and at an ambient temperature of -10°C-50°C, relative humidity less than 93% (without condensation) and atmospheric pressure of 50–106 kPa.
