Descrizione Clinica
AQUACEL ADESIVO FOAM
Adhesive multi-layered hydrocellular polyurethane foam with alveolar structure, accompanied by a thin layer of hydrofibre in contact with the lesion bed, an external polyurethane film and a silicone adhesive board (hypoallergenic).
The layer of mild-cell polyurethane is highly hydrophilic, absorbent, considering exudated and breathable. The Hydrofiber Technology layer in direct contact with the lesion bed, allows to AQUACEL Foam to interact actively with the injury itself by instantly forming a soft gel that maintains the humid environment and retains the exudate, favoring healing and reducing the risk of maceration of the perilesional skin.
The breathable outdoor film promotes the transmission of vapours and gases and creates a waterproof barrier to fluids and bacteria that protects the injury from external contamination.
The silicone adhesive board is extremely delicate to remove, thin and repositionable.
AQUACEL Foam is indicated for use in lesions from poor to medium exudatory on:
Traumatic wounds: small abrasions, lacerations and small cuts.
Chronic wounds: lower limb ulcers (Venus ulcers, arterial ulcers and mixed etiology ulcers), diabetic ulcers, partial and thick pressure ulcers.
Acute wounds: surgical wounds (let me heal for second intention) and skin picking areas.
Oncological wounds: lesions with high exudate (mycotic skin tumors, skin metastases and sarcoma).
It can be used both as primary and secondary medicine.
LATEX FREE - FTALATI FREE.
Mode of use
Choose a form and size dressing that the central tampon is wider than the wound area. Align the center of the dressing with the center of the wound and place the central tampon of the dressing directly above the wound.
The dressing should be changed when clinically indicated or when it is saturated with exudate; however not over 7 days of stay in situ.
AQUACEL Foam can be used as primary, or secondary medicine in association with other products.
Components
Sterile Medication consisting of: an external waterproof polyurethane film, a layer of hydrophilic polyurethane of a thickness of 2.5 mm of density of around 300 g/mq and measurement of cells of 200-300 microns, an absorbent layer of non-woven fibres composed of pure sodium carboxylcellulose (NaCMC) surrounded by a thin and delicate silicone adhesive edge.
Sterilization Method: Sterilized to ethylene oxide.
Warnings
Texttext. Refer any warnings/precautions of use here.
Conservation
Protect from light sources, store in a dry place at room temperature (10°C - 25°C).
Valid in years: 3.
Maximum stay time in situ: 7 days.
* The test was carried out according to BS EN 13726-1:2002-Test Methods for Primary Wound Dressing
