Balanil gel
Description
Medical device for topical use intended to promote the maintenance and/or restoration of the mucocutane integrity of the male genital area. It is indicated in the symptomatic treatment of erythema, itching, edema, pain and burning during balanitis and balanopostitis.
The irritation and inflammation of the glans and the foreskin are accompanied by acute local infectious states and are frequently not connected with previous infections, or persist as reaction to drugs and antifungal and cortisonic topical treatments, or the use of aggressive detergents. Also traumatic, allergic and dysmetabolic stimuli (e.g. diabetes) contribute to the onset of the irritative/inflammatory phenomena of the male genital area.
There is also a close correlation between symptoms of low urinary tracts, typical of prostate and bladder diseases, and occurrence of erythema, itching, edema, pain and burning at the level of the glans and the foreskin. The symptoms of low urinary tract include the set of urinary disorders including: increase in frequency and urgency, incontinence and terminal drip. The prolonged and/or frequent contact of urine with the skin and balano-preputial mucosa predisposes tissues with irritation and inflammation, especially in diabetic, immunodepressive and elderly subjects.
Whatever the inductive stimulus, irritation and chronic inflammation of the male genital area, involve alteration of the defensive properties of the mucocutaneous barrier facilitating the implantation of pathogenic agents due to genital infections.
Mode of use
Apply 2 times a day a thin layer of gel on the affected area until symptoms remission or differently according to medical advice. the product, in consideration of the peculiar bioadhesive characteristics, is able to stay long in the areas of application thus guaranteeing an optimal long-acting effect.
Components
Aqua, Echinacea angustifolia extract, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, sodium PCA, adelmidrol (INN), algin, sodium hyaluronate, sodium hydroxide, lactic acid, 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol, trans-2-dodecenedioic acid, usnic acid, phytosphingosine, biotin.
Warnings
Only for external use. If the application feels persistent burning, suspend use. Avoid contact with eyes; rinse thoroughly in case of accidental eye contact. Don't swallow. Keep out of reach of children. The product is not indicated for subjects already sensitive to the components present in the formulation. Do not use if the pipe is damaged. Use within the expiry date.
BALANIL GEL does not interact with pharmacological treatments commonly adopted in balanitis and balanopositi therapy; for its contemporary use, however, consult your doctor. In the treatment period, the use of the detergent is recommended BALANIL LAVAGGIO.
Conservation
Store the product in a cool and dry place at room temperature.
