SCREEN CHECK TEST
Screen Test Candida
Description
Quick test for the quality autodiagnosis, able to detect the presence of Candida antigens in the samples of vaginal secretions taken by swab.
The test is based on the immunochromatic method. The sample taken by swab is added to the sample pad, through the cap containing the dilution buffer. From here the sample migrates to the conjugate pad, releasing anti-Candida antibodies conjugated with colored latex particles of blue. The Candida-conjugated antibodies compound continues to move to the nitrocellulose membrane strip. The complex is then captured on the support membrane by immobilized antibodies, generating a signaling line.
If Candida antigens are present in the sample taken by swab, a biological reaction will take place and the result will be positive. It will buy a blue line in the area of the test line (T), on the membrane.
The test includes an integrated control system, represented by the control line (C). The control line confirms that the test was executed correctly.
Mode of use
Leave the test box at room temperature (between 15 °C and 27 °C) before performing the procedure.
Open the test kit only when you are ready to run the procedure. Do not use the test if the bag is damaged. Keep a clock at your fingertips.
Check that the surface on which the procedure will be executed is clean. Wash your hands. The test can be performed at any time of the day.
Remove the device from the sealed bag and place it horizontally on a flat surface. With a hand hold the device. With the other hand gently remove the aluminium seal from the purple cap. The purple cap contains a liquid substance.
Remove the stick from the wrap. Insert the stick for about 2 cm inside the vagina and rotate for 20 seconds. Pull the stick gently.
Rotate the stick in the purple cap liquid for 20 seconds. Extract the stick gently, pressing it against the inside wall of the purple cap. Throw the stick away.
With a hand hold the device. Rotate the purple stopper counterclockwise until the arrival point, then turn it in the opposite direction to the starting point. Repeat the passage twice more. At the point of arrival, the heels on the purple cap must be aligned with the return on the white base.
Read the results after 10 minutes.
Interpretation of results
POSITIVO: a blue line appears at the control line (C) and a further blue line at the test line (T).
The test result indicates that Candida antigens are present in vaginal secretions. Ask a doctor to confirm the result and start a treatment.
NEGATIVE: Only a blue line appears at the control line (C) and no blue line appears at the test line (T).
The test result indicates that Candida antigens are not present in vaginal secretions. If symptoms or disorders persist, it is recommended to contact a doctor.
NOT VALIDO: If neither line appears or only the test line (T) appears, it is not possible to interpret the test result. You need to run a new test carefully following the instructions.
Warnings
Only for in vitro diagnostic use.
Do not introduce inside the body.
The test is not reusable.
The test only works if the instructions are followed carefully.
A negative test result does not exclude other infections. Ask your doctor.
The test should not be used in the menstrual period.
Suitable for women aged at least 18.
Do not use during pregnancy.
Do not use the test in 7 days after taking medication for vaginal infections.
Do not use the test in 24 hours after using creams, gels, foams, lavenders or other products for intimate hygiene.
Do not use after the printed expiration date on the aluminum bag.
Keep outside the reach of children.
Dispose of the device and stick along with normal household waste.
Do not use the stick if it falls to the ground.
Do not use the test components if they are broken.
Do not use in case of leakage of the liquid from the cap. The amount of liquid inside the stopper is crucial to ensure proper testing operation.
Do not rotate the cap before removing the seal or inserting the stick. The rotation of the upper part of the device has an irreversible effect, as the test will no longer be valid.
Conservation
Store in a dry place at room temperature (between 2 °C and 30 °C).
Validity of whole packaging: 24 months.
Format
The kit contains:
- 1 test box;
- 1 sterile stick;
- 1 sheet of instructions for use;
- 1 information sheet translated.
