Descrizione Clinica
Magnetology therapist
Description
Medical device for the application of variable magnetic fields. The purpose of this magnetotherapy device is to exploit the biological effects induced to the human body by magnetic fields in the fields of application of traumatology, rheumatology and physiotherapy.
It is a professional portable medical device, suitable to be used both in hospital and outpatient environment by professional operators, and in home environment.
Due to the ease of use, it can be used by people without particular training, always in any case by sticking to the user manual.
Thanks to its shape and different methods of application, the device can be effectively used for the management of pathologies to the skeletal muscle system.
Mode of use
Switching on and off
To use the device you need to have the battery charge and the power supply disconnected.
To turn on the device, press the button on/off long (ON/OFF), to turn it off perform the same operation.
Note: If the power supply is connected during therapy, the device stops therapy and switches to battery charging mode.
When the device is on and the therapy is not on, or is temporarily suspended, spent 5 minutes without any pressure of the buttons, the device turns off to save energy.
Use
The therapy has a duration of 60 minutes and at the end of the same the device turns off automatically.
As part of pain treatment, we can distinguish acute pain therapy and chronic pain therapy. The THERAPIST device does not work with specific programs because the treatment is divided into these macrocategories.
The treatment can be chosen by pressing the button “Select program 1/2”:
P1 acute pain program;
P2 program for chronic pain.
1. Selected the desired treatment press the “Play/Pause/Stop” button to start therapy.
2. Later pressings of short duration of the “Play/Pause/Stop” button suspend and resume therapy.
3. The prolonged pressure of the “Play/Pause/Stop” button interrupts therapy.
4. The prolonged pressure of the “Access/Switch” button interrupts ongoing therapy and shuts off the device.
The diffuser (the opposite side of the buttons) must be placed on the patient's body in the area to be treated (with acute or chronic pain), and kept in place through the appropriate elastic band.
Example of positioning:
- neck;
- shoulder;
- back;
- knee;
- elbow.
Battery charge
The lithium battery used in the appliance is supplied partially charged, so it is necessary to carry out a first cycle of charging, of at least 4 hours, before using the device.
The charging operation is very simple: simply place the instrument on a flat and stable surface, away from heat sources and connect the supplied power supply.
The power supply should be inserted into a common power outlet (100-240 Vac 50/60 Hz) while the low voltage plug in the power outlet of the device (charge input).
After the charging cycle, the battery status indicator will flash green. At this point you can disconnect the power supply from the power grid and use the device. With a battery in good condition the charging time is approximately 4 hours.
When the remaining battery charge amount reaches 20%, the battery status indicator changes from green to orange without any interruption of therapy. When the remaining amount of charge reaches 5%, the battery status indicator becomes red by interrupting the therapy, without the ability to start the device. From this moment you will no longer be able to start a therapy until you do a battery charge.
Note: In order to ensure greater battery life and have a correct signal of the residual charge quantity, it is recommended to always carry out complete refills while keeping the device away from heat sources. In addition, frequent and prolonged use of the device is not recommended with the low battery.
Warnings
- The magnetotherapeutic unit must be used only for the intended therapeutic use, exclusively with the methods illustrated in the instruction manual.
- The magnetotherapy unit must be used only with the accessories supplied with the original equipment and following the therapeutic methods described.
