LUJA
CATETER
Description
Luja and Luja Pocket Man are vescic catheters from the flexible body for intermittent catheterism in man. They are self-lubricating, sterile, disposable, and measure 44 cm. Luja and Luja Pocket Man are compact products because they are easily transportable and discreet in disposal.
Luja and Luja Pocket Man are the first and only catheters made with Micro-Hole Zone Technology, of the micro-holes placed on the 6 cm close to the tip of the catheter and replacing the two traditional holes typical of the standard catheters. Luja's micro-holes ensure both a complete emptiness of the bladder in a single seamless flow and a reduction in the risk of contracting urinary tract infections caused by the vescic microtrauma.
All Luja catheters are ready to use and made with the Triple Action Coating Technology that ensures uniform distribution of lubricant and free of dry points and reduced risk of contracting urinary tract infections caused by the urethral microtrauma.
The Luja and Luja Pocket Man catheters guarantee a no-touch insertion: are entirely covered by a dry protective guide, which provides protection from possible external contamination during insertion (for example, from contact with the user's hands or other external bodies). The catheters are already immersed in sterile physiological solution for the activation of the lubricating coating. The lubricant liquid is inserted between the catheter and the protective guide and for this it is possible to manipulate the catheter without contacting the liquid.
Luja and Luja Pocket Man have a flexible Nelaton tip that facilitates the passage in the sphincter and urethra and a universal connection to be connected to a urine collection bag. In the primary packaging, Luja and Luja Pocket Man appear as a closed circuit, as the ends of the catheter are screwed together. This makes catheters waterproof to bacteria.
Both primary packages are designed to ensure maximum discretion in terms of transportability and disposal. In particular, the primary packaging of Luja Pocket Man is pocket-sized, and hence the smaller size, to ensure even more discretion and comfort.
The primary packaging of the two catheters guarantees the sterility of the product and by closed is a sterile barrier for the device. After use, the catheter can be reinstated inside for a discreet and hygienic disposal.
Luja and Luja Pocket are self-lubricating sterile self-lubricating cateteers for intermittent catheterism. Both catheters are ready to connect with bags for urine collection. The use of Luja and Luja Pocket is indicated in cases of urinary retention, are simple to use, fast and atraumatic, indicated for those who have a permanent or temporary need to resort to this type of aids. They are particularly suitable for people who lead an active life, who work or study.
Components
The Luja and Luja Pocket catheters are in PU (polyurethane) and have a hydrophilic coating in PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone).
The liquid in which they are immersed is physiological solution composed of PEG (polyethylene glycol) and sodium chloride (NaCl) in purified water.
The primary packaging of the catheter is a multilayer of Matt lack/Printed PETP/PETP/PE PEEL.
