For oral use. The veterinary medicinal product must be administered according to the following list to ensure a single dose of lotilaner from 6 to 24 mg/kg body weight. Cat body weight: 0.5 -2,0 kg. Dosage and number of tablets to administer. AdTab 12 mg: 1. Cat body weight: >2,0 - 8,0 kg. Dosage and number of tablets to administer. AdTab 48 mg: 1. Cat body weight: >8.0 kg. Dosage and number of tablets to administer: appropriate combination of tablets. In cats with body weight greater than 8 kg, use an appropriate combination of dosages available to obtain the recommended dose of 6-24 mg/kg. Subdose could result in ineffective use and could promote resistance development. To ensure a correct dosage, determine body weight with the highest possible accuracy. Administer your veterinary medicinal product with food or within 30 minutes of feeding. For optimal control of tick and flea infestations, the veterinary medicinal product must be administered at monthly intervals and continued during the flea and/or tick season according to local epidemiological situations.Conservation
This veterinary medicinal product does not require any special conservation conditions. Validity period of the veterinary medicinal product packaged for sale: three years.Warnings
Parasites must start feeding on the guest to be exposed to lotilaner; therefore the risk of transmission of diseases transmitted by parasites cannot be excluded entirely. It must be taken into account the possibility that other animals in the same family can be a source of flea reinfection and these must be treated if necessary with an appropriate product. Fleas, in every stage of their development, can infest the cat's litter and normal rest areas such as carpets and furniture fabrics. In case of massive flea infestation, and at the beginning of control measures, these areas must be treated with a suitable environmental product and therefore cleaned regularly. Acceptable levels of effectiveness may not be achieved if the veterinary medicinal product is not administered with food or within 30 minutes of feeding. Due to insufficient data in support of the effectiveness against ticks in young cats, this product is not recommended for the treatment of ticks in age kittens or less than 5 months. Special precautions for safe use in target species: safety and effectiveness data were studied in cats of 8 weeks or more with body weight of 0.5 kg or higher. In the absence of available data, a veterinarian must be consulted before treatment in cats of less than 8 weeks or with a body weight less than 0.5 kg. Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals: wash your hands after handling the product. In case of accidental ingestion, contact a doctor immediately by showing him the leaflet or label. Special precautions for environmental protection: not relevant. No adverse reactions were observed after oral administration to kittens of 8 weeks of age, with a body weight of 0.5 kg, which had been treated with doses over 5 times the recommended maximum dose (130 mg of lotilaner/kg body weight) on eight occasions at monthly intervals. Incompatibility: not relevant.Interactions
No notes. During clinical studies on the field, interactions between lotilaner and veterinary medicinal products used were not observed.Source: Farmadati
