Product features
Karos oral spray is a solution based on hyaluronic acid to nabulize in the throat in case of mucous membranes oropharyngeal (inflammation of the oral mucosa and pharyngeal).
Hyaluronic acid, thanks to its viscoelastic and physical properties, forms a protective barrier on the inflamed oropharyngeal mucosa; in fact, being a hydrophilic molecule, it is able to absorb water up to 1000 times its volume, forming almost a gel.
For this reason, the nebulization of Karos oral spray based on hyaluronic acid, directly in the aqueous environment of the oropharyngeal area, allows the formation of a thin film. This film acts as a protective barrier for the pharyngeal-laryngeal mucosa in case of mucosal flogosis caused by non-toxic gastroesophageal reflux disease (NERD) or by afflictions of the first respiratory tract, such as pharyngitis and laryngitis, both in acute and chronic phase. Reflux disease is a widespread pathology, especially in the western world and is closely linked to lifestyle and eating habits.
The reflux in the oral cavity is precisely in pharynx and larynx, of gastric juices contained in the stomach is recognized to the onterno of the category of gastroesophageal reflux disease not erosive (NERD) and is defined as pharyngeal-laryngeal reflux disease, often abbreviated as RFL (in English LPR, Laryngo-Pnaryngeal Reflux).
In this disease the gastroduodenal content flowing from the stomach exceeds the anti-reflux barrier of the upper esophageal sphincter and spreads in the aqueous environment typical of the oropharyngeal area, irritating and inflaming the mucosa of the faringo-laryngeal region and causing several symptoms, such as: disphony, need to clear the voice, need to whisk the throat, excess.
The same sontomas can be associated with mucosal flogosis due to afflictions of the first respiratory tract; also in this case the protective barrier created by the hyaluronoc acid present in oral spray relieves the painful symptomology of pharyngitis and laryngitis, acute or chronic, and also, thanks to the ability of hyaluronic acid to recall and retain water, also allows a fluidizing action of the mucus.
Indications
Karos oral spray is indicated in the treatment of symptoms related to oropharyngeal mucosal flogosis (inflammation of the mucosa of the mouth to the pharynx) such as: inflammation of the vocal cords with and without dysphony (disturbs in the voice), raucedine, need to clear the voice, need to scrape the throat, excess of mucus in the throat, sensation of retronasal neckline, chronic tox.
Karos oral spray is added and does not replace other therapeutic treatments that may be prescribed to patients.
