Description
Medical device.
Syntomatic treatment of stipsis. It promotes peristalsis, helping to have adequate intestinal evacuation, thus counteracting constipation and preventing the formation of fecalomas.
The macrogol is a high molecular weight hydrosoluble polymer that has the ability to bind to the water used for intake, holding it in the feces. It determines a rehydration and softening of the fecal mass and facilitates evacuation. Accelerate intestinal transit, favoring peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastro-intestinal tract and does not lead to hydro-electrolytic imbalance, if taken with the indicated dose of liquid.
Fits diabetics.
No sugar.
Mode of use
Suitable for adults and children over the age of 12:
- 1 to 4 sachets a day.
The dose must be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, so as to allow a regular evacuation of soft feces.
The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 4 sachets per day.
Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (125 ml per bag) and take immediately. It is recommended to administer the product in the morning, in case you have to take the minimum dose (1 sachet per day). For higher doses, divide intake between morning and evening.
If you do not notice any improvement after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.

Warnings
The administration in children must be carried out under direct control of an adult.
Consult your doctor before using pregnant and nursing.
Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
Do not use if the package is open or damaged.
The product can reduce the time of stay in the intestine and therefore the absorption of oral medicines. It is therefore recommended to consult the doctor in the event of simultaneous intake of oral medicines, which should in any case be administered at a distance of at least 2 hours.
The product may result in a potential interaction effect when used with starch-based food thickeners. The macrogol contrasts the thickening effect of starch, liquefying the preparations that should instead remain dense to allow the intake by people with swallowing problems.
In case of unwanted reactions, suspend treatment and consult your doctor.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Do not hire in case of:
- hypersensitivity known to one or more components;
- the paralytical one;
- drilling, obstruction or intestinal stenosis;
- severe inflammatory diseases of the intestine (e.g. ulcerative colitis, Crohn disease, toxic megacolon).
The use of laxatives is contraindicated in case there are acute or unknown abdominal pains, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin and in case of severe dehydration.
Some gastro–intestinal disorders (belly disease, flatulence, abdominal swelling, nausea and fecal incontinence).
Diarrhea is a secondary effect intake of excessive doses of Normalene Macrogol 4000 – and is avoidable by decreasing the dose of intake.
Cases of hypersensitivity reactions (rash cutaneous) were rarely reported as a result of the use of products containing macrogol. In case, suspend treatment and consult your doctor.
Conservation
Store in a cool and dry place, away from light and away from heat sources.
The expiry date refers to the correctly stored product.
