Excellent

Sodium phosphate, sodium phosphate monosodium monohydrate, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, sodium edetate, propile p-hydroxybenzoate, distilled water.

Therapeutic indications

Rinofrenal is indicated for the treatment of symptomatology of acute phase of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to active ingredients or any of the excipients.

Population

1-2 sprays for nostril 3-4 times a day; do not exceed the recommended doses. Once the resolution of acute rhinomatology is achieved, it is advisable to continue the treatment with a preparation based on only chromoglycated sodium in order to prevent reappearance of symptoms.

Conservation

There are no special precautions for conservation.

Warnings

If the preparation is taken at high doses, systemic effects from antihistamines may appear (see also “Undesirable Effects”). The specialty should be used with caution in the elderly, in the subjects with anamnesi of prostatic hypertrophy and glaucoma, as well as in the case of peptic ulcer stenosante and obstruction of the vescic neck. Carefully use even in case of liver failure Warning: Rinofrenal 4% + 0.2% nasal spray, solution contains p-hydroxybenzoate methyl and p-hydroxybenzoate propile that can cause allergic reactions, (possibly delayed type).

Effects

Although the RINOFRENAL has not so far been verified, it should be noted, however, that, following the administration of sodium chromoglycato powder by inhalation, some side effects such as: aspecific irritation phenomena at the expense of the first aerial routes commonly represented by pharyngeal, cough, transient bronchospastic episodes that promptly release and may be prevented by the administration of bronchodilators. In case of high doses, systemic effects from antihistamines can be found, such as sedation and drowsiness. Assai have rarely been described side effects represented by nausea, headache, hives, angioedema, myalgies, artralgies, infiltrated lung heosinophiles and intense bronchospastic episodes that may occur at the beginning or during therapy. Such manifestations require suspension of treatment.

Overdosing

No overdose cases have been reported.

In pregnant women the product should only be administered in case of need and under medical supervision.
