Thealoz Gel
Protection, hydration and lubrication of the eyes to relieve symptoms from the dry eye. Treatment of dry eye syndrome of moderate to severe entities.

When to use Thealoz Gel
Thealoz Gel is a liquid gel to be used on the surface of the eye during the day and night. You can use Thealoz Gel when you have signs and symptoms of moderate to severe dry eye such as discomfort, stinging pain or eye irritation. These symptoms may be caused by external factors such as wind, smoke, pollution, dust, sun or cold, dry heat, air conditioning, air travel, prolonged computer screen work. Thealoz Gel contains no preservatives and prevents irritation and allergic reactions that may occur with the use of preservative-containing eye products. The use of preservative-free products is recommended in case of eye sensitivity or prolonged use.
Property
Thealoz Gel is a sterile, hypotonic, neutral pH, preservative-free liquid gel that helps to keep the eye moist. The main ingredients are trehalose, sodium hyaluronate and carbomer (Carbopol 974P), which allows Thealoz Gel to stay on the eye longer. Trehalose protects, hydrates and is an antioxidant. Trehalose also has protective and stabilizing properties of cell membranes.
Sodium hyaluronate is a polysaccharide (a complex molecule) present in the eye that keeps the surface of the eye hydrated and lubricated. It keeps the solution on the eye surface, giving relief for a long time and shortening the healing time of the corneal epithelium (super transparent eye). The carbomer allows Thealoz Gel to stay on the eye surface longer, giving lasting relief to the signs and symptoms of the dry eye.
The combination of trealose, sodium hyaluronate and carbomer in Thealoz Gel hydrates, lubricates and also protects the eye surface for a long time and with rapid relief.
Special warnings and special precautions for use
• Do not use in case of allergy to one of the components.
• Do not touch the surface of the eye with the tip of the monodose container.
• Do not inject and do not swallow.
• Do not use the product if the container is damaged.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Interactions
Wait for at least 15 minutes in the use of two different ophthalmic products.
Use Thealoz Gel last.
How to use the product
Method and route of administration: only for eye use.
• Wash your hands well before use.
• Remove the monodose container from the strip.
• Turn to head down and pinch the container.
• Open the container and press to provide the gel).
• Instill a drop in the lower joint bag (the space between the eye and the eyelid), gently pulling down the lower eyelid and looking upwards.
• Throw the container, even if there is a residual solution.
If you bring contact lenses, they must be removed before using Thealoz Gel.
After the Thealoz Gel is instilled, wait at least 30 minutes before returning the lenses.
Dosage
1 drop in each eye, from 1 to 4 times a day.
The gels are particularly suitable for evening use, just before bedtime.
Possible side effects
Possibility of slight irritation in the eyes, although it is very unusual.
How to save Thealoz Gel
Keep monodose containers inside the outer packaging to protect them from light.
Store the product at a temperature below 25°C.
Do not use the product after the expiry date clearly indicated on the packaging.
The expiration date refers to the product in the package that is integrated and stored correctly. Do not use containers if they are damaged. Throw the containers open immediately after use. Do not leave containers in the environment.
