Abound

Dietary food intended for special medical purposes to be taken under the supervision of a doctor, indicated for the food regime of malnutrited patients who need to rebuild lean mass and repair damaged tissues.
Amino acid form consisting of a patented mixture of arginine, glutamine, beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutirrate (HMB), which promotes recovery of body lean mass and wound healing.
It can be used for oral feeding or via nap.
Available in 2 flavors: orange and neutral.

Mode of use
The recommended daily dose is 2 sachets per day, unless otherwise indicated by the doctor according to the specific needs of each patient.
For oral use: dilute the contents of a sachet in 250 ml of water.
For probe: do not mix Abound with other formulas for enteral nutrition directly into the sack. Pour the contents of a bag into a suitable container and dilute with 125 ml of water. Mix well until complete solubilization. Make sure the probe is properly positioned. Wash the probe with 30 ml of water before administering the Abound solution. Administer the Abound solution with a 60 ml or larger syringe. After administering the Abound solution again wash with 30 ml of water (use a smaller amount of water if the patient must be fed with a diet with few liquids).

Warnings
Do not use in septic patients.

Conservation
If you plan to consume the solution within 4 hours of preparation, keep it at room temperature. If you do not use it immediately you can store it in the refrigerator and it should be used within 24 hours. Abound sealed envelopes can be stored at room temperature in a cool and dry place.
