active ingredients

100 ml of solution contain: Active ingredients: salicylic acid 1,75 g, sodium ioduro 3 g. For the full list of excipients, see paragraph 6.1.

Excellent

Ammonium Bromide, Bibasic Magnesium Phosphate, Purified Water.

Therapeutic indications

Disinfection and cleaning of the skin in case of small superficial injuries.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to active ingredients or any of the excipients listed in paragraph 6.1 Thyroid disorders. Pregnancy and nursing (see paragraph 4.6).

Population

Population: Apply a small amount of product on the area to be treated. If necessary repeat the operation 2-3 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended number of daily applications.Method of administration: Topical use. Apply the solution to the area to be treated by touching, wrapping or washing.

Conservation

Store in well closed containers, protected by light and heat.

Warnings

The product is only for topical use. Do not use for prolonged treatment, in the absence of clinical evaluation (see paragraph 4.8). The use, especially if prolonged, of products for topical use can give rise to phenomena of sensitization; in this case it is necessary to stop the treatment and carry out a medical evaluation. Ingestion or accidental inhalation of some disinfectants may have serious, sometimes fatal consequences. Avoid use on large surfaces. Do not apply with occlusive bandage. Avoid contact with eyes. To remove any stains on the fabrics it is sufficient to use water; avoid the use of soap.

Interactions

Avoid contemporary use with any other product and especially creams or gels. Do not use under guttaperca or other waterproof substances. Do not apply on the treated part simultaneously mercury salts or benzoin compounds.

Effects

It is possible the occurrence of intolerance (burn or irritation) that does not require modification of the treatment. The reaction of iodine with lexious tissues can delay its scarring. Application on extended burns or abrasions can produce systemic effects of iodine. It can interfere with thyroid operating tests. Reporting of suspicious adverse reactions. The reporting of suspicious adverse reactions that occur after the authorization of the medicinal product is important, as it allows continuous monitoring of the benefit/risk ratio of the medicinal product. Healthcare workers are required to report any suspected adverse reaction via the national reporting system at the address www.aifa.gov.it/content/segnalazioni-reazioni-avverse.

Overdosing

No known cases of overdose with Fertomcidina “U”.

Iodine is systematically absorbed, especially in case of ulcers. The absorbed iodine can cross the placental barrier and be excreted in milk, therefore the use of Fertomcidine “U” is contraindicated in pregnancy and during breast milk lactation.
