Therapeutic indications

Vaginal mycosis from Candida.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity or allergy already known to the preparation.

Population

MICOMICEN vaginal cream Save different prescription, make an evening application before bedtime with MICOMICEN 1% vaginal cream, following the following instructions: a) screw to the pipe MICOMICEN 1% vaginal cream one of the disposable applicators and fill it by pressing on the tube; b) unscrew from the tube the applicator filled with cream and insert it deeply into the vagina, after having coricated; c) maintaining the coricated position, press on the applicator's plunger to introduce the medicine into the vagina. The applicator should not be reused, but thrown after use. To facilitate healing and prevent reinfections it is advisable to apply vaginal cream also on the skin of external genitals up to the anal region. The treatment must be continued for at least 6-7 days until the disappearance of symptoms. In order to avoid relapse, it is advisable to continue the treatment for a further week. MICOMICEN 100 mg ovum Save different prescription, an ovum in the evening before bedtime. Treatment with 100 mg eggs will last at least 3 days. In the event of relapse or in the case that, with the use of eggs, the cultivation examination performed after the first 3 days of treatment was still positive, a second cycle of therapy must be repeated, up to a maximum of 6 days. The eggs MICOMICEN should be introduced as deeply as possible in the vagina, maintaining a supine position. Treatment should not be carried out during the menstrual period. The eggs MICOMICEN are colorless and do not dirty the linen.

Warnings

In vaginal mycosis, a reinfection is possible by the partner (ping-pong effect). A concomitant treatment of the partner with MICOMICEN 1% cream. It is also recommended to refrain from sexual intercourse throughout the duration of therapy. The repeated use of the product can give rise to phenomena of sensitization. In this case interrupt treatment and establish suitable therapy.

Interactions

Not reported in literature, nor detected in clinical practice.

Effects

Rarely a slight burning may occur in the first days of treatment; the eventual appearance of sensitization phenomena imposes the suspension of treatment and the adoption of adequate therapeutic measures. Overdosing

In case of accidental ingestion of MICOMICEN, it is suggested to apply to your physician and to implement the normal medical measures recommended in case of intoxication.

In pregnant women, the product should only be used in case of actual need and under the direct control of the Medic.
