Collirio flacone: boric acid g 1.415 - sodium tetraborate g 0.05 - sodium chloride g 0.25 - benzalconio chloride g 0.01 - bleu of methylene g 0,0015 - water for injectable preparations q.b. 100 ml. Collirio single-dose containers: glycerol g 1 - boric acid g 1.1 - sodium borate g 0.035 - polysorbed 80 g 0.010 - water for injectable preparations q.b. 100 ml.

Therapeutic indications

Irritation, burning, redness, itching of the eye due to allergic or physical causes (excess exposure to sunlight or reverberation of snows or dazzling headlights on night trips by car or dust in working environments, etc.).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to components or to other substances closely related to chemical. It should not be used in subjects with glaucoma or with other serious eye diseases and in children under three years of age.

Population

Instill 1 or 2 drops per eye, 2–3 times a day. The product should not be used for more than 4 consecutive days. Do not exceed the recommended doses. In children under 12 years of age (and above 3 years of age) use the medicine only after medical advice.

Conservation

5 ml bottle and 8 ml bottle: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. After opening: store for a maximum of 28 days at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. 0.3 ml single-dose container: no special precaution for conservation. After opening the aluminum envelope, the product must be consumed within 30 days.

Warnings

The product, while presenting a poor systemic absorption, should be used with caution in patients suffering from hypertension, hyperthyroidism, heart disorders, diabetes and in patients treated with anti-MAO drugs (Tranilcipromine, Fenelzina, Pargillin). Infections, pus, foreign bodies in the eye, mechanical, chemical damage, from heat require the attention of the doctor. If the symptoms, after a short period of treatment, persist or aggravate, consult your doctor. Keep the product away from the reach of children since accidental ingestion can cause marked sedation. Stilla Unidose colliary decongestionant is presented in single sterile doses, each containing the amount of colliary sufficient for an application to both eyes. The unidose package protects the colliery from any contamination and ensures sterility and stability without need of preservatives, thus being used also by contact lens holders. 5 minutes between the use of the eye drops and the application of contact lenses.

Effects

The use of the product can sometimes determine pupil dilation, increased endocular pressure, nausea, headache. Rarely, phenomena of hypersensitivity can occur. Only with very high doses can occur hypertension, heart disorders or hyperglycemia. In these cases it is necessary to stop the treatment and consult the doctor so that, where necessary, appropriate therapy can be established.

Overdosing

The product, if used for a long period at excessive doses, can determine toxic phenomena. In children, if accidentally ingested, the preparation can determine sopore, even deep and hypotonia. Please immediately notify your doctor or visit the nearby hospital.

Pregnant, breastfeeding and children only use it in case of actual need, after consulting the doctor.
