Lubricating multidose eyelid to relieve symptoms of mild or severe eye dryness. It contains a highly purified specific fraction of sodium salt of hyaluronic acid produced by bacterial fermentation and is therefore devoid of animal protein. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally biocompatible polysaccharide with viscoelastic and hygroscopic properties. In the eye hyaluronic acid is found in the vitreous body, in the lacrimal gland, in the corneal epithelium in the conjunctiva and in the human tear fluid. Hyaluronic acid possesses mucoadesive properties and the ability to trap water; it is also known to influence water distribution in the corneal stroma. This along with the protective properties of hyaluronic acid, involves an increase in pre-corneal resistance time and breakage time of the lacrimal film and therefore guarantees a longer lasting lubrication of the corneal surface. Hyaluronic acid is currently used in contact lens products, to increase the wetability and comfort of contact lenses. Xailin HA contains a concealed preservative that turns into water and oxygen in contact with the eye, minimizing the irritation that can be caused by traditional preservatives, however guaranteeing the comfort of a multidose form. Confirming an immeditated feeling of relief. It is used to lubricate and protect the eye in certain conditions, offering relief in case of eye dryness such as pain, irritation, or feeling of foreign body. Symptoms of the dry eye occur as a result of eye disturbances caused by a number of different reasons, in which tears are altered qualitatively or quantitatively, thus failing to maintain the eye sufficiently hydrated.

Mode of use
The usual dosage is a drop to be applied from 2 to 4 times a day depending on the need or as indicated by your ophthalmologist. Even for children the dosage is equal. Before opening a new colliery bottle check that the safety ring on the bottle cap is intact.
1. Rotate the stopper counterclockwise to break the seal.
2. Wash and dry your hands well before use.
3. Remove the hood.
4. Tilt your head back and look up.
5. Gently lower the lower eyelid so as to provide a small pocket between the eyelid and the eye.
6. Hold the bottle between the thumb and the middle finger of the hand and with the index finger apply a slight pressure to the base of the bottle to release a drop of the neck in the conjunctive fork.
7. Admit a few times.
8. If the eye was not centered, instill another drop.
9. Gently remove any excess of eyelids around the eyelid with a gauze.
10. Put the cap on the container trying not to touch the applicator tip.
11. Allow to spend at least 30 minutes between one administration and the other of other ophthalmic drugs.
If the symptom persists, consult your doctor.

Precautions and warnings
Do not use if the safety ring on the bottle cap is not intact. Do not use in case of product allergy. Do not touch the tip of the bottle with the eye or with any other surface. Do not share Xailin HA with other people. It can cause a slight cloud of sight after application, wait for the vision to be clear before driving or using machinery. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package or printed on the bottle. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Only for external ophthalmic use do not ingest. Consult your physician, pharmacist before using the product in case of pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Conservation
Store between 1 °C and 25 °C. Delete the content after 28 days from the first opening.

Hyaluronate of colliary sodium 0.2% p/v 10 ml.
