Description
Antimicrobial primary medication to be used in infected or at risk of infection.
It is designed to manage the 3 main local obstacles to healing: excessed, infection and biofilm.
AQUACEL Ag+ EXTRA incorporates two powerful technologies that work in synergy to manage the fundamental barriers for the healing of injuries.
Ag+ Technology is a unique formulation containing ions of silver, formulation against biofilm that:
- destroys biofim and bacteria contained in it
- kills a wide spectrum of bacteria, including antibiotic-resistant ones, thanks to its silver tank
- prevents biofilm reform.
Hydrofiber technology helps create an ideal environment for injury healing, ensuring that Ag+ Technology works best:
- blocks excess exudate, bacteria and biofilm to minimize crusades infections and prevent maceration of perilesional skin
- microconforms to the lesion bed, maintaining the right degree of humidity and eliminating the empty spaces where bacteria could proliferate
- interacts with the lesion bed by forming a cohesive gel, minimizing pain during the change of dressing.
