Description
Medical device for eye and periocular use based on distilled water of echinacea and euprasia at pH and physiological osmobility.
The formula is specifically designed to be a valid help for removing the periocular and eye secretions of the newborn since the early days of life, the infant and children (so from 0 to 6 years of age).
OCIO can also be used by children older than 6 years, adolescents, adults and older people also in the presence of soft contact lenses.
OCIO exhibits mainly a diluting and decongesting action for increased volume of tears, refreshing, humecting.
OCIO can also be used several times a day.
Mode of use
1. Carefully cleanse your hands.
2. Handle the bottle so that the finger you use for dispensing (index or inch) is well placed on the dispenser and does not cover the nebulization hole.
3. Keep the bottle vertically and exert a strong pressure on the dispenser to nebulize the solution.
4. In case of direct dispensing in the eye spray the product at a distance of about 10 cm from the eye.
5. On the occasion of the first use, provide some vacuum times until a regular nebulization of the product is observed.
6. In case of storage at a temperature of less than 15 °C, if the product is intended for use on children, hold a few minutes the bottle between the hands to bring the product to room temperature to avoid an unpleasant feeling of cold.
Use the product as follows:
- for the rinsing of the periocular area in place of conventional wet wipes or hymbibite: nebulize 1 or 2 solution sprays on a sterile gauze and use it to clean immediately and gently the area around the eyes, eliminating any secretions. Avoid rubbing with force but softening the dry secretions with the gauze soaked until you can remove them. Use a different gauze for each eye;
- for the rinse of the eye: nebulize 1 or 2 product sprays in each eye, open or closed:
a. spraying with an open eye, the admiccament resulting from the increase in volume of the lacrimal liquid allows the product to wash the surface of the eye by removing the foreign particles together with the excess of liquid; b. nebulizing to the closed eye, the liquid that remains trapped in the eyelid, thanks to the admiccament comes into contact with the eye surface, increasing the volume of the tear fluid and thus allowing the product to wash the surface of the eye by removing the foreign particles together with the excess of liquid;
- to relieve feelings of discomfort or redness: nebulize 1 or 2 product sprays in each eye.
Components
Distillate water of pale Echinacea, distilled water of Euphrasia officinalis, zinc sulphate eptahydrate, vitamin E TPGS, sodium chloride, citric acid monohydrate, sodium tribasic dihydrate, water for injectable preparations.
Warnings
Keep out of reach of children.
The product is exclusively for ophthalmic or periocular use.
The contents of the spray bottle can be used by one person.
Do not use the product if the bottle is not perfectly closed and/or intact.
Do not tamper or damage the bottle and its mechanisms.
Before using the product it is indicated to carefully cleanse the hands.
During use do not touch the eye, or other surfaces, with the spray surface.
Do not use the product in case of known incompatibility to even one component of the formulation.
In case of ailments during use suspend treatment and consult a doctor.
OCIO does not replace any drug therapy prescribed by the doctor.
The administration of drugs for ophthalmic use simultaneously with the product must be carried out under control of the doctor who can assess the possible interactions and should be carried out at least 15 minutes away from the nebulization of the product.
Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
Don't swallow.
Do not disperse the container in the environment after use.
Conservation
Store in a dry place, away from heat sources, and direct exposure to sunlight, at a temperature between 2 and 30 °C.
Post-opening validation: three months.
