active ingredients

100 g of solution contain Active Ingredient: Liquid phenol 1.0 g (equal to 0.85 g phenol). For the full list of excipients, see paragraph 6.1.

Glicerol, purified water.

Therapeutic indications

Auricular duct antiseptic.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients.

Population

External use. Apply 1–2 drops in the ear canal, 1–2 times a day.

Conservation

Store the container well closed in the original packaging to repair the medicine from light.

Warnings

Phenol is a poison, it should not be ingested. Avoid prolonged treatments. The use, especially if prolonged, can give rise to phenomena of irritation or awareness. If this happens, stop the treatment. Do not apply near the eyes and mucosa. If necessary, to attenuate the caustic properties of the phenol, the drops can be diluted with glycerin and not with water that can make the medicine irritating and caustic. The area to be treated must be well dry.

Overdosing

Phenol is a toxic substance whose absorption by skin in high quantities and especially for a prolonged time can produce local toxicity (skin irritation and sensitization) and systemic, especially at SNC level, heart, blood vessels, lungs and kidneys.

In the absence of specific studies, the medicinal product must be used during pregnancy and nursing only if necessary and under direct medical control.
